Chicken Katsu

1 lb chicken thighs (boneless, skinless)

2 eggs

3 tbsp flour

1 tsp garlic powder

panko

salt + pepper

neutral oil (for frying)

Petunjuk

1. Mix together eggs, flour, garlic powder, salt + pepper to make the wet batter. Looking for a consistency a little thinner than pancake batter. Add water if needed.

2. Dip and dredge chicken in batter completely and let any excess drip off. Transfer the chicken into the panko and coat well.

3a. If frying, bring oil up to 350ºF for 4-6 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165ºF internal.

3b. If air frying, place chicken in basket and lightly spray the top with neutral oil. Air fry at 350ºF for 10 minutes. Spray the top side once again, and flip and spray the side facing up now. I need to make. Continue cooking at 350ºF 4-6 minutes.
