Bahan-bahan

I remember coming across a video of this on social media about a year ago, and I've been wanting to make it ever since. I finally got around to it!

All you need is balsamic vinegar and a powder called agar-agar (similar to gelatin but plant-based, making it completely vegan). You can easily find it in baking or health food stores.

Petunjuk

First, we need very cold olive oil. Put about 1/2 a cup of olive oil in the freezer for at least half an hour.

Place a small saucepan over low heat and whisk together 100ml of balsamic vinegar with 2 teaspoons of agar-agar. Bring to a boil and let it bubble for 2-3 minutes, whisking constantly!

Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool down for about 10 minutes.

Transfer the liquid to a squeeze bottle with a fine tip, a pipette, or a dropper (you can even use a fork to drip it). Drip the mixture slowly into the ice-cold olive oil. The balsamic will instantly solidify into pearls. Strain them out and store them in a jar in the refrigerator.

Pay attention! ❤️

I was expecting a popping texture with liquid bursting in the mouth, but in reality, it's more of a cool, firm jelly.

If you find the flavor too sour, you can add a pinch of sugar during the boiling stage.

The original recipe is by a creator named bakinghermann—I just translated it and made my own adjustments. Go give him a follow!
