Individual Plum Crumbles

For the syrup: 100g granulated sugar 1 cinnamon stick For the crumble: 65g plain flour 80g oats 50g soft brown sugar 85g butter Cinnamon, optional 4 ripe plums, halved and stones removed To serve: Whipped cream, ice cream, or mascarpone
Petunjuk
1 Combine the sugar, cinnamon stick and 250ml of water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Boil for 10-12 minutes or until the mixture is reduced and coats the back of the spoon. Remove from the heat and allow to cool, then discard the cinnamon stick.
2 Preheat the oven to 1800C/160°C fan/gas mark 4. In a bowl, combine the flour, oats, brown sugar and cinnamon (if using.) Use your fingers
to work the butter into this mixture until small, coarse crumbles form.
3 Spoon a small hole from the centre of each plum half, being careful not to cut through the skin. Place the on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Fill each hole with about a tablespoon of the simple syrup, then top with the crumble.
4 Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crumble is golden-brown. Serve warm with whipped cream, ice cream, or mascarpone.
