⚖️ General Tincture Formula (for 150-proof alcohol)

1 part dried ingredients (by weight) OR 2 parts fresh ingredients

10 parts alcohol (by volume)

Steep for 2 weeks at room temperature, shaking once daily. OR sous vide at 135F for 4 hours.

Strain through a fine mesh or coffee filter when ready.

Example:

10g dried hibiscus + 100ml alcohol

OR: 20g fresh ginger + 100ml alcohol

10g dried orange peel (or fresh zest from 1 large orange)

100ml 150-proof alcohol

Optional: a few allspice berries or clove for complexity
