Memoni Khow Suey Recipe

Meat Gravy

1/2 cup oil

Few peppercorns & 1/2 cinnamon stick

1 large onion sliced

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

1/2 tsp chilli pwd

1 tsp coriander powder

3/4 tsp salt

1/2 tsp cumin pwd

1/4 tsp turmeric

1 tsp Tikka Masala

2 blended tomatoes

1 tbsp tomato paste

3 tbsp yogurt

1/4 cup water

500 g boneless chicken/beef in small cubes

Útmutatók

In a pan add the oil & fry the whole spices

Add the onion & fry till transparent and soft. Do not brown

Add the ginger garlic paste & spices. Mix well

Add the tomatoes, tomato paste, yogurt and water. Mix well. Cover and cook on low flame till the oil separates

Add in the chicken. Cover and cook on low flame for 10 minutes till the chicken is done & gravy has thickened

Karhi

1 cup yogurt

1 cup besan (gram flour)

2 green chillies

5 curry leaves

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp chilli pwd

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 tsp salt

1 cup coconut milk

3 cups water

1/4 cup oil

1 tsp zeera

1 tbsp ginger garlic paste

8 curry leaves

In a blender add the yogurt, besan, green chillies, curry leaves, spices, coconut milk & half the water. Blend till smooth

In a pan fry the zeera, ginger garlic paste and curry leaves in the oil

add the blended paste & the remaining water. Mix well with a whisk to avoid lumps

Partially cover the pan and cook on low flame for 15 minutes till thickened

Adjust the salt & consistency of the karhi
