Quinoa Cheese (Pourable + Melty!)
No nuts, no cashews — just cooked quinoa and pantry staples turned into the dreamiest vegan cheese sauce 💛
You can pour it straight from the blender OR thicken it in a pot if you want it stretchier for quesadillas, grilled cheese, or pizza!
Recipe:
1¼ cups cooked quinoa
1½ cups water
¼ cup plain plant milk
2 tbsp tapioca starch
2 tbsp nutritional yeast
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
¾ tsp salt (reduce for toddlers)
½ tsp garlic powder
¼ tsp onion powder
Blend until ultra smooth.
Use as a creamy sauce
To thicken: Pour into a pot and cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until thick, glossy, and stretchy.
Or bake at 400°F until bubbly and golden!
