Rice Krispie Treats

6 tablespoons salted butter

16 ounces mini marshmallows

1 teaspoon vanilla

6 cups Rice Krispie cereal

Butter the bottom and sides of a 9x13 baking dish.

In a large microwave safe bowl, add your butter and marshmallows, reserving 1 cup of marshmallows for later. Pour all of the marshmallows in the bowl, except for 1 cup- save that for later.

Microwave for 30 seconds and then stir. Repeat until the butter is melted and the marshmallows are creamy.

Add in the vanilla and stir. Add in the cereal and stir carefully.

Once the cereal is combined, add the reserved marshmallows and stir well.

Press the mixture into the prepared baking dish. Let cool. Slice and enjoy.
