Sesame Noodles

Sastojci

Fresh Noodles (300g, I used the Mizuho Shanghai Plain Noodles, but feel free to use 2 servings of whatever noodles you can get your hands on)

Soy Sauce (2 tbsp)

Rice Vinegar (1 tbsp)

Sesame Oil (2 tbsp)

Garlic (2 cloves)

Sugar (2 tsp)

Sesame Paste (2 ½ tbsp)

Chili Oil (1 tbsp)

Noodle Water (½-1 cup)

Sesame Seeds (to taste)

Cucumber (1)

Prep the Noodles and Vegetables

Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil.

While the water is heating up, cut the cucumber into matchsticks

Mix Sauce Ingredients

Also while waiting for the water to boil, mix soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, sugar, sesame paste, grated garlic, and chili oil together in a bowl.

Cook the Noodles

Once the water is boiling, add the noodles and cook according to the package instructions.

Once they are finished cooking, drain the noodles while saving some noodle water for your sauce.

Create your Noodle Bowl

Mix the noodle water with your sauce to get a nice silky consistency. (If your sauce is too thick - add more noodle water. Make sure to do this process slowly to ensure that you don’t make your sauce too runny.)

Then add your noodles to the sauce and toss/mix until your noodles are fully coated.

Plate the noodles, top with the cucumber, and sprinkle sesame seeds on top.
