Penne Alla Vodka

Sastojci

  • 2 cups of penne

  • 1/4 large onion, diced

  • 16 small cloves of garlic

  • 2 T olive oil

  • 1 T unsalted butter

  • 2 T tomato paste

  • 1 T vodka

  • 1/3 c pasta water

  • Finely grated parmesan

  • 1 t salt

  • 1 t black pepper

  • 1 tred pepper flakes

Upute

1. Cook pasta to al dente according to the package in salted boiling water.

2. At low to medium heat, melt the butter with the olive oil. Once it's melted, add the whole garlic cloves into the pan and cook for 2-4 minutes until all sides of the cloves are golden brown. Remove from the pan.

3. Add the chopped onions into the pan and cook at low to medium heat for 5-6 minutes until they are translucent. Add in the tomato paste and cook for 3-5 minutes continuously stirring. Add in vodka and cook for five minutes.

4. Add in the heavy cream and mix everything until the sauce is well combined. Add in cooked pasta with pasta water and parmesan cheese. Let simmer for 3-5 minutes then enjoy!
