Shrimp Scampi Linguine

Sastojci

Linguine – 2 servings (You can use any pasta shape you want)

Shrimp – 15-20 small shrimp

Parsley – 1/3 cup chopped

Cream (10%) – 2 tbsp

SEASONING

Salt – 2 pinches

Paprika – 1 tsp

Cayenne – 1 tsp

Garlic powder – 1 tsp

Black pepper – 1 tsp

Creole seasoning – 1/2 tsp

SAUCE

Olive oil – 3 tbsp

Butter – 2 tbsp

Garlic – 4 cloves

Chilli flakes – 1 – 2 tbsp (depending on your preferred heat level)

Lemon juice – 1/2 a medium lemon

Lemon zest – 2 tsp

Parmesan – 1/2 cup grated

Pasta water – 1/2 cup

Upute

Start by prepping shrimp so its ready to season (I use frozen shrimp which I thaw over night and buy it already deveined).

Next boil water, once boiling, add 2 tbsp salt and add in your linguine or pasta of choice. Let that boil according to the instructions on the package (~Roughly 10 minutes).

As the pasta cooks, season deveined shrimp with the seasonings listed here (Olive oil – 1 tbsp, Salt – 2 pinches, Paprika – 1 tsp, Cayenne – 1 tsp, Garlic powder – 1 tsp, Black pepper – 1 tsp, Creole seasoning – 1/2 tsp).

Prep the ingredients which are going in the sauce by mincing 4 cloves of garlic, zesting a lemon (2 tsp), grating 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese, chopping 1/3 cup of parsley and cutting a lemon it in half to extract the juice.

Heat up a pan on medium heat and cook shrimp for 2 minutes on each side then take it out in a different dish.

In the same pan, lower the heat and add 2 tbsp olive oil and 2 tbsp butter, bring heat back up to medium and add in (Minced garlic – 4 cloves, Chilli flakes – 1 – 2 tbsp (depending on your preferred heat level), Lemon juice – 1/2 a medium lemon, Lemon zest – 2 tsp, Parmesan – 1/2 cup grated).

Let the sauce cook for a couple minutes on medium heat (make sure the heat is not too high, otherwise the butter will burn).

Once pasta is ready, take out 1/2 cup of pasta water and add the remaining drained pasta in the sauce along with 1/2 of pasta water and 1/3 chopped parsley.

Add in the cooked shrimp, and 2 tbsp of cream, mix it all up and,
