Mexican Chocolate Brownies
9 oz. unsalted butter, cut into pieces
15 oz. bittersweet chocolate, chopped
2 ¾ cup sugar
1 ½ cup whole blanced almonds, toasted until golden and cooled
6 large eggs
1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
¾ tsp. salt
¾ tsp. cinnamon
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Butter and flour ½ sheet pan.
2. Melt butter and chocolate over low heat, stirring, until smooth.
3. Remove pan from heat and cool 10 min.
4. Process sugar and almonds in food processor until finely ground.
5. Stir almond mixture into chocolate mixture and add eggs, 1 at a time, beating well until mixture is smooth.
6. Stir in flour, salt, and cinnamon.
7. Spread batter in pan and bake 25-30 minutes.
