1/4 C Olive Oil
1 Can Tomato sauce
2 Cans White Northern Beans
2 Cloves Garlic - chopped
1 Medium Onion - chopped
2 Tbsp Granulated Sugar
Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder, Basil to taste.
1 Lb Ditalini pasta (or pasta of your choice)
Parmesan and or Romano Cheese grated.
Upute
In sauce pan, saute onion and garlic in oil until soft over low heat (do not burn garlic).
Season this with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and basil.
Add 1 can tomato sauce and 1 can of water.
Season again.
Add sugar and let simmer for 1 -1 1/4 hours.
Add beans (DO NOT DRAIN) and cook for another hour. You may want to add more seasoning. It's up to you how sweet or bitter you want your sauce.
When this is done, cook 1 Lb ditalini pasta (or desired shape), and drain.
Pour sauce over noodles and add grated cheese if desired.
