French Onion Chicken

Ingrédients

4 chicken breasts or thighs

1 tsp garlic salt

½ tsp black pepper

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp beef tallow (or butter)

2 large onions, sliced

1 tbsp Brits’ Cookin’ Garlic & Herb seasoning

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp flour

2 cups beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Salt & pepper to taste

1 cup shredded Gruyère (or mozzarella)

1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

Season chicken with garlic salt and black pepper, then brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, melt tallow (or butter) and cook onions with Brits’ Cookin’ Garlic & Herb seasoning until caramelized. Add balsamic vinegar and cook for another minute.

Stir in garlic and flour, cooking for 1–2 minutes. Slowly pour in broth and Worcestershire sauce, then season with salt and pepper.

Nestle chicken back in and simmer until the gravy thickens.

Top with cheese and bake at 400°F for 5 minutes. Garnish with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes and broccoli.
