Ingrédients

15 medjool dates, pitted

1 cup warm milk

1 and 1/2 cups plain flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

2 eggs

1/2 cup walnuts, chopped

Chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 180c

Add the dates and warm milk together in a bowl. Leave aside for 20 minutes until your dates are soft, then blend

To the blended date mixture, add the remaining ingredients

Pour batter into a prepared loaf tin and spread evenly

Top with walnuts and chocolate chips (optional)

Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
