Shrimp Malay Curry

Ingrédients

1 onion

2 tbsp onion paste

2 lbs shrimp

1.5 tsp turmeric

2 tsp Chili powder

1 cinnamon stick

4 cardamom

1.5 Tsp cumin powder

1 tsp salt

2 cans coconut milk

5 whole chili

0.5 tsp Garam Masala

1 tbsp Ghee

Instructions

Marinate shrimp with 1 tsp turmeric & chili powder and half a teaspoon of salt. Let it rest for 15 minutes.

In medium heat, fry the shrimps in oil. Half cooked, set aside the shrimps.

In a pan, add 1 onion and caramelize it.

Then, add 2 tbsp onion paste 1.5 tbsp ginger and garlic paste,1 cinnamon stick, 4 cardamom, 1 tsp chili powder, 1.5 tsp cumin powder, 1/2 tsp turmeric & salt. Stir & mix for 2 minutes.

Add a little water for the gravy.

Once oil starts producing; add shrimp.

Cook it for 2 minutes

Add 2 cans of coconut milk, 5 whole chili, 1/2 tsp Garam Masala, 1 tbsp ghee.

Stir it for 1 minute & serve.
