Spiced Chicken Feta Meatballs

Ingrédients

1 lb Ground Chicken

1 Tbsp Olive Oil

2 tsp Kosher Salt

½ tsp Garlic Powder

1 tsp Dried Oregano

2 ½ tsp Ground Cumin

1 tsp Onion Powder

1 tsp Turmeric

Cayenne, to taste

Ground Pepper, to taste

1 clove of Garlic, grated

Zest of 1 Lemon

Juice of ½ a Lemon

½ cup Crumbled Feta

Instructions

Place all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Stir until everything is well combined (Note: The more you stir/work the ground meat after everything is combined, the more bouncy your meatballs will be – the less you stir, the more crumbly they will be, so mix as much or as little depending on your preference of final meatball texture).

Preheat your oven to 350ºF.

Lightly grease a baking sheet and set aside. Using a large spoon or cookie scooper, scoop out 2 to 2 1/2-inch rounds of meat and roll into balls. Place on the lightly greased baking sheet.

In a large skillet on high heat, add neutral oil. Once the oil is hot and shimmering, add the meatballs.

Cook each side until golden brown (around 2-3 minutes per side).

Place back on the greased baking sheet and finish cooking in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the center of the meatball reads 165ºF, using a meat thermometer.
