Chicken Crescent Almandine

1 can condensed cream of chicken soup
2/3 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup dairy sour cream
1 Tbsp minced onion
3 cups cooked cubed chicken
1 can (8 oz) water chestnuts (optional, drained)
1 can (4 oz) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
1/2 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
1 can (8 oz) crescent dinner rolls
Topping:
1/3 cup shredded Swiss or cheddar cheese
1/2 cup slivered almonds
2 Tbsp melted butter
Instructions
Mix all ingredients together except crescents. Cover with topping. Bake at 350°F for 30 min or until brown.
**Note:** Shape crescents separately on cookie sheet; bake mixture separately. Once done, combine and melt cheese by baking a couple more minutes. Baking all together can prevent crescents from fully cooking.
