Recipe for 2 Jo-Jo size pretzels
¾ tsp yeast
½ cup warm water
¼ cup brown sugar
1 ¾ - 2 cups flour
¼ cup soda
2 cups water
Recipe for 4 Jo-Jo size pretzels
½ T yeast
1 cup warm water
½ cup brown sugar
4 ½ to 4 3/4 cups flour
½ cup soda
4 cups water
Instructions
Whisk together yeast, water, brown sugar until foamy and let stand a little bit. Mix in flour until forms a ball. Let rise a little bit. Combine baking soda and water. Make into pretzels, dip each pretzel in baking soda solution. Place on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with coarse salt. Bake 475 for 10 -12 minutes. Brush with melted butter.
