Ingrédients

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes

1 small onion, finely diced (about 1 cup)

4 cloves garlic, minced

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped

1 tablespoon fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

Heat olive oil in a pot over medium-high. Add the onion and cook until translucent. Stir in the garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Add the tomatoes, salt, and thyme. Once it starts to boil, reduce the heat and let it simmer for 20-25 minutes until the sauce thickens.

Remove from heat, stir in the basil, and enjoy.

This makes about 4 cups of sauce.
