French Drinking Chocolate

2 oz chocolate, chopped (can also do small chips)
⅔ cup milk
⅓ cup heavy cream
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp cocoa powder
1 tbsp water
¼ tsp espresso powder
Pinch of salt
Instructions
In a small saucepan, add the sugar, cocoa powder, espresso powder, salt, and water. Whisk over medium-high heat until smooth, then whisk in the milk and cream and heat until steaming.
Turn the heat down to low and stir in the chocolate until melted and smooth.
Transfer to a cup and serve with optional whipped cream.
