Chinese Marble Cookies

Ingrédients

1 3/4 cups + 1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar (14 oz.)

1 1/2 tsp. salt (1/4 oz.)

2 cups + 3 Tbsp. shortening (14 oz.)

5 cups cake flour (20 oz.)

1 1/4 tsp. baking soda (scant 1/4 oz.)

2 eggs large

1/2 Tbsp. vanilla (1/4 oz.)

3/4 tsp. almond flavoring (1/8 oz.)

Instructions

Put dough on plastic wrap. Flatten out. Drizzle with 1/2 cup chocolate chips melted. Fold dough over and over to slightly marble chocolate. Roll to shape into 2-2 1/2" roll. Refrigerate 2 hours. Slice 1/2" thick slices. Let come to room temperature. Bake 350° for 14-18 min. Makes 3 dozen.
