Such a simple dessert with the best flavor to make it seem like you put way more effort into it than you actually did 🤭

Here’s what you’ll need for the cake:

195g @swansdowncakeflour cake flour (1 1/2 cups)

210g granulated sugar (~1 cup)

1g baking soda (1/4 tsp)

5g baking powder (1 1/4 tsp)

1g fine salt (1/4 tsp)

170g melted unsalted butter (3/4 cup)

2 room temp eggs

10mL vanilla extract (2 tsp)

2 ½ almond extract (1/2 tsp)

127g sour cream (1/2 cup)

116mL whole milk (1/2 cup)

Here’s what you’ll need for the buttercream:

226g unsalted room temp butter (1 cup)

tiny pinch of fine salt

2 ½ almond extract (1/2 tsp)

12oz powdered sugar (340g)

30mL heavy cream (2 tbsp)
