Homemade Graham Crackers! or Cut Them Up into Little Squares

Mix 1/2 cup softened butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla.

In another bowl mix 3 cups whole wheat flour, 3/4 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking soda, and 1/4-1/2 tsp cinnamon.

Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet. Add 1/2 cup of water as you mix to keep it more like a dough and less dry.

Let it sit for about 30 minutes and then roll it out and cut into squares.

The thinner the better! I’ve noticed if they’re too thick they taste kind of stale. Thinner = crunchy. Thick = stale texture. Ideally 1/8 inch thick.

Bake at 350° for 20-25 minutes/until they’re looking golden brown, even a little darker golden.

Let them cool and enjoy!!
