Easy Enchilada Sauce

Bueno Special Reserve) • 1 teaspoon ground cumin • 1 teaspoon garlic powder • 1 teaspoon onion salt • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce • 3 cups water • 3 teaspoons beef base (or 3 beef bullion cubes) • 2 teaspoons honey (or sugar)

Instructions

In a large heavy bottomed pot or in a Dutch oven, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the flour and chile powder. Stir, and cook for 2-3 minutes over medium heat. Stir in the cumin, garlic powder, and onion salt. Then stir in the tomato sauce and water. Add the beef base and honey, and stir to incorporate. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
