Iced Gingerbread Oatmilk Chai Latte {Starbucks Copycat}

½ cup water
½ cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon molasses
1 teaspoon ground ginger
½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
⅛ teaspoon ground cloves
⅛ teaspoon ground nutmeg
2 chai tea bags
Cold oatmilk (to top)
Ice (for serving)
Instructions
In a small pot, combine water, brown sugar, and molasses. Heat until the sugar melts, about 3 minutes.
Add ground ginger, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Let it bubble for a few minutes, then cool down.
Strain the syrup if desired and store in the fridge.
Brew 2 chai tea bags in ½ cup hot water for 5-6 minutes.
Pour the hot chai over a tall glass of ice.
Add 2 tablespoons of gingerbread syrup (adjust to taste).
Top with cold oatmilk and stir well.
Optional: Add coconut cold foam and garnish with cinnamon or a ginger snap cookie.
