Instructions

Make fine paste of coconut, shallots, chilly powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder and pepper along with some water.

Notes

Cutting Crabs

  • Remove the legs from the main body

  • Remove the tip of small legs of the crab

  • Use the biting claw leg as is

  • Open the main shell from bottom by splitting across from head to back into two

  • Once main shell is opened, yellow and orange mushy things are good. Not all crabs have orange mushy things

  • Also, inside the shell, remove black mushy things which may be poop. However, brown mushy around the orange-yellow mushy are good to consume

  • If the legs are big, ensure to make a crack so the curry can ooze into flesh

  • Main top shell is not used for cooking
