2 teaspoons grated ginger

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon sesame seeds

2-3 tablespoons green onions, chopped (optional)

1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for a bit of heat)

Instructions

Combine the ingredients: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, mirin, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sugar until the sugar dissolves.

Add sesame seeds: Stir in the sesame seeds and green onions (if using). For some heat, add red pepper flakes.

Chill: Let the sauce sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together. For the best taste, refrigerate it for 30 minutes before serving.
