Herb Flatbread With Caramelized Onion Roasted Garlic Butter

Yields: 6 flatbreads

Ingredients:

– 2 cups all-purpose flour

– 1 tsp salt

– 1 tbsp olive oil

– 2/3 to 1 cup warm water

– 2 tsp Italian seasoning

– 2 tsp garlic powder

– Shredded Gruyère or mozzarella

– 1/4 cup butter, softened

– 1/4 onion, caramelized

– Dried or fresh parsley

– 1 head roasted garlic

Instructions

Mix flour and salt in a bowl. Drizzle in olive oil. Gradually add warm water while mixing until a smooth dough forms. Let rest for 30–60 minutes.

In a separate bowl, mix softened butter, caramelized onion, parsley, and roasted garlic until combined.

Divide dough into 6 portions and roll each into a rectangle.

Spread butter mixture over dough, roll into a spiral, then roll out again until thin.

Pan fry until crispy and golden on both sides.
