2-3 tbsp yoghurt
Water to make batter
1-2 spring onions (finely chopped)
1 small tomato (finely chopped)
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp grated garlic (or paste)
½ tsp turmeric
½ tsp chilli powder (optional)
½ tsp ajwain (optional but great for digestion)
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander (optional)
Oil for cooking
Instrucciones
In a bowl, mix besan, yoghurt, salt, turmeric, chilli powder and ajwain.
Add water gradually and whisk to make a smooth batter (like pancake batter — pourable but not watery).
Add spring onions, tomatoes, ginger, garlic and coriander.
Heat a non-stick pan/tawa and lightly oil it.
Pour a ladle of batter and spread gently into a circle.
Drizzle a little oil around the edges and cook on medium heat.
Flip when golden and cook the other side.
