Farm Soup

2 Tbs butter
Onion, diced
64 oz tomato juice
2 beef bouillon cubes
2 cups cooked butter peas or butter beans
2 cups corn
Sometimes I add a hand full of rice or leftover green beans
2 TBS sugar
Salt and pepper
1 package cut frozen okra
1 cup milk
2 TBS flour or corn starch
Instrucciones
Sauté onion in butter until soft.
Add juice, bullion, and vegetables, other than okra. Add sugar, salt, and pepper.
Let simmer 30 minutes.
Cook the okra separately and add the water it's cooked in, this helps to thicken the soup.
Make a slurry with milk and cornstarch/flour, add to soup. Let thicken and it's ready.
