Greek Chicken Gyros with Tzatziki Sauce

For the Chicken Marinade:

1 lb chicken breast (cut into strips or cubes)

3 tbsp olive oil

Juice of 1 lemon

3 garlic cloves, minced

1 tsp dried oregano

Salt & pepper to taste

Tzatziki Sauce:

1 cup Greek yogurt

1/2 cucumber, grated & squeezed dry

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 garlic clove, minced

1 tbsp chopped fresh dill or parsley

Salt to taste

For Assembly:

4 pita or naan flatbreads

Diced tomatoes

Chopped red onions

Fresh parsley or lettuce

Instrucciones

Marinate the Chicken:

In a bowl, combine chicken, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes (up to overnight).

Cook the Chicken:

Grill or pan-fry chicken over medium-high heat for 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through.

Make the Tzatziki:

Mix Greek yogurt, cucumber, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, dill, and salt. Chill until ready to use.

Assemble the Gyros:

Warm flatbreads. Layer with grilled chicken, tzatziki sauce, diced tomatoes, and red onion. Sprinkle with parsley and fold to serve!
