Sweet And Sour Chicken

Ingredientes

Sauce

  • 1/2c. Ketchup

  • 1/2c. Soy Sauce

  • 1/2c. Apple cider vinegar

  • 1/2c. Brown sugar

  • 1tsp. Pepper

  • 1/4tsp. Sesame oil

  • 1tsp. Red pepper flakes

  • Water cornstarch slurry (1Tbs cornstarch, water till dissolved)

  • 1/2Tbs minced garlic

Chicken

  • 3 thighs diced raw chicken

  • 1 egg

  • 1/8c. Soy sauce

  • Pepper

  • Salt

  • Minced garlic

  • —- stir and let sit

  • 1Tbs Flour

  • —- stir

  • 1/3c. Corn starch (or just enough to coat all the chicken)

Veggies:

  • 2 Bell Peppers

  • 1 yellow onion

Serve with:

  • Rice or noodles

  • Green onions (optional)

  • pineapple (optional)

Instrucciones

Make the chicken marinade and add in the chicken (up to the flour) let sit for a while

In a frying pan add in some vegetable oil and bring to a pint where stuff sizzles

Add flour to chicken. Stir well

Add cornstarch to chicken stir till all chicken coated.

Put chicken into pan. Fry till cooked. Take out and put on plate with paper towel.

Make the sauce by combining all ingredients into a pot and bring to a boil. Stir while thickening.

To make extra crispy wait a few minutes for chicken to cool and then do a second fry for 2 minutes.

Now with chicken on paper towel dump extra oil out leaving some in for veggies to cook with.

Add veggies to the pan.

Vegetables should be sizzled and soft. Then add sauce and then add the cooked chicken. Cook for a minute.

Done.
