Rob’s Beef Stroganoff

2-1/2 pounds cubed beef stew meat
4 cans condensed golden mushroom soup (must use golden mushroom and not cream of mushroom soup)
1 onion (chopped)
3 cloves of garlic (minced)
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
2 beef bouillon cubes
1 packet Lipton onion soup mix
6-8 ounces cream cheese (depending on taste)
3 tablespoons sour cream (or more if desired)
fresh mushrooms (sliced) (optional)
1 cup water
pat of butter (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
vegetable or olive oil
AP flour
egg noodles or rice
Instrucciones
Sauce the onion and garlic in oil for 5 minutes. Toss the beef in the AP flour and a few dashes of pepper. Add the beef to the onion and garlic and cook until cubes are brown on all sides. Do not cook the meat completely; just brown it.
In the crockpot, combine the mushroom soup, water, Worcestershire sauce, beef bouillon cubes, and Lipton onion soup mix. Add the beef, onion, and garlic and mix. Cook on low for 6 hours.
If you're adding the optional mushrooms, saute them in butter and add them about 30 minutes before it's done.
After 6 hours, add the sour cream and cream cheese. Cook for 20-30 minutes more. Add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over buttered egg noodles or rice.
**Golden mushroom is a must. Cream of mushroom won't taste the same.
