Salted Caramel Sauce

2 cups sugar
1 stick (8 Tbsp) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
1 cup heavy cream
1–2 tsp vanilla bean paste or 1 tsp vanilla extract
Heavy pinch kosher salt
1–2 Tbsp bourbon (optional)
Instrucciones
Use a saucepan or skillet and put sugar in pan over medium to low heat. Constantly stir to cook the liquid from the sugar. May take several minutes for the mixture to form into clumps. Keep stirring ( small clumps may still be in the bottom). Continue stirring until liquified.
Next add butter, cut into small pieces and added slowly. Stir to mix well
Next add cream and stir well.
Add vanilla and kosher salt. Mix well.
Allow to cool and place in jar. Refrigerate.
