Mom’s CHOCOLATE ROLO COOKIES

Ingredientes

2¼ cups flour

¾ cup unsweetened cocoa

1 tsp baking soda

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup packed brown sugar

2 tsp vanilla

2 eggs

48 rolo candies (9 oz)

1 tos granulated sugar, set aside

1 cup margarine, softened

Instrucciones

Preheat oven to 375°

In small bowl combine leveled flour, cocoa, and baking soda, blend well.

In large bowl beat 1 cup sugar, brown sugar, and butter. Add vanilla and eggs, beat well. Add in flour mixture and blend well.

For each cookie, with floured hands shape dough around each Rolo, roll into a ball and then dip top of each cookie into granulated sugar.

Place cookies on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake at 375° for 7-10 minutes or until the tops become slightly cracked.

Allow cookies to cool for 2 min on the cookie sheet so that caramel can set, and then move to flat surface.

(Don't use a wire rack as your flat surface because the caramel falls through! It works better to place them on the countertop or flat plate to cool.) These cookies have a brownie like consistency with a chocolate caramel surprise inside!
