THE LOWRIDER (RAISED DONUTS WITH CINNAMON SUGAR)

Ingredientes

Cinnamon-Sugar Topping

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon fine sea salt

1 recipe fried Trejo’s Donuts (this page), still hot, placed on wire racks

Instrucciones

In a small bowl, whisk together the sugar, cinnamon, and sea salt. One minute after removing the donuts from the oil, sprinkle them generously with the cinnamon sugar (you want the donuts to be warm so the cinnamon sugar sticks to them). Eat immediately or within 4 hours of making (see Trejo’s Tip, this page).
