Date Bark Bars

20 pitted dates
1 cup smooth peanut butter
½ cup toasted peanuts, crushed
600 g dark chocolate
3–4 bananas (optional)
Sea salt, for sprinkling
Instrucciones
Cut the dates in half.
Arrange them side by side (slightly overlapping) on a tray lined with baking paper.
Press them down with the bottom of a glass or cup to form a flat, even layer.
Spread the peanut butter evenly over the date layer.
Slice the bananas thinly and place the slices on top of the peanut butter (optional).
Place the tray in the freezer for about 20 minutes to firm up.
Melt the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water (or in short bursts in the microwave).
Stir in the toasted, crushed peanuts.
Remove the chilled date–peanut butter–banana base from the freezer.
Pour the melted chocolate mixture over the top, spreading it evenly to cover the surface.
Sprinkle with sea salt.
Refrigerate until the chocolate has set and is firm.
Break or cut into pieces and enjoy!
