The Midnight Manhattan takes inspiration from what is known as the Black Manhattan, which balances whiskey with a dark, herbal liqueur instead of the traditional sweet vermouth. However, this iteration also incorporates coffee liqueur for another layer of flavor, as well as cardamom bitters and orange liqueur for added brightness.

2 oz @PendletonWhisky Midnight

½ oz Coffee liqueur

½ oz Herbal liqueur

1 bar spoon Triple Sec

3 dashes Cardamom bitters

Combine ingredients and stir. Strain into an absinthe-rinsed glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
