Potato, Corn, & Bacon Chowder

Zutaten

1 package bacon

1 c diced celery

2 potatoes

1 small onion

2 tbsp all purpose flour

4 c chicken broth

2 c 2% milk

2 bay leaves

1/2 tsp savory

2 c frozen corn kernels

1/3 c green onions, choped

salt & pepper

Anweisungen

In large saucepan over med/high heat, cook bacon until crisp. Drain on paper towel. Reserve 2 tbsp bacon fat.

Add onion, potato, celery, cook stirring often until glassy looking.

Add flour, stir in chicken broth & milk. Add bay leaves & savory. Simmer until potatoes almost tender. Add corn & bacon.

Simmer 4-5 minutes.

Top with green onions.

Note: I used pinch of italian seasoning instead of savory. The amount of flour dictates thickness of soup.
