Zutaten

2 cups red lentils + 1 onion

Olive oil

4 cups water

Salt + cumin + turmeric

1 cup rice

Garnish: fried onion + sumac

Anweisungen

Sauté lentils and onion in olive oil

Add salt, cumin, and turmeric

Add ~4 cups water and stir until it starts to thicken

Add rice and continue cooking until soft and combined

Pour into bowls and let it set slightly

Top with fried onions + sumac
