Homemade Enchilada Sauce

3 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup flour
3 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1/2 tablespoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt & pepper
6oz can tomato paste
3 cups chicken broth
Anweisungen
Melt butter in saucepan on medium-high heat, once butter is melted gradually add flour and stir for 3-5 minutes to cook flour taste out.
Add chili powder, cumin, salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and stir in to combine.
Once combined, add tomato paste and stir to combine. Once combined add the 3 cups of chicken broth, stir till combined then reduce heat to simmer and stir occasionally. (uncovered)
Reduce liquid to desired consistency, if sauce is too thick add more chicken broth.
