2 c. flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

3/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese

1/3 c. shortening

1 c. buttermilk

Anweisungen

In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Cut in cheese and shortening until crumbly. Add buttermilk; stir just until moistened. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead 8-10 times.

Roll out to 1/2 in. thickness cut with a 2 1/2 in biscuit cutter. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake at 425° for 10-12 min. or until golden brown.
