Tara’s Mac N Cheese

1 lb elbow macaroni
1 1/2 tbsp butter
2/3 cups panko crumbs
1/4 cup butter
4+ cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup flour
1 tbsp cornstarch
Salt & pepper
1 tbsp chicken bouillon
3/4 cup cheddar
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1 cup Gouda
4 1/2 cups milk
Anweisungen
Boil pasta in salted water until al dente.
Preheat oven to 375°.
Add 1 1/2 tbsp butter to oven proof skillet or cast iron. Melt and add panko crumbs, toast until golden brown. Transfer to a bowl.
Melt 1/4 cup butter in the pan, add garlic and sauté until fragrant. Whisk in flour and continue cooking and stirring for 2 minutes.
Slowly add in the 4 cups of milk. Mix remaining 1/2 cup milk with cornstarch and add to sauce to thicken. Continue simmering until thickened. Season with salt, pepper, and chicken bouillon.
Add in the cheeses and cook until melted.
Return pasta to the pan and mix completely.
Top with panko crumbs and extra Parmesan cheese.
Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes until bubbly.
