2 oz Bourbon or Cognac

½ oz Banana Oleo Saccharum

1 Dash Aromatic Bitters

8 Mint Leaves

Anweisungen

Add mint leaves banana oleo and bitters to a julep cup and gently muddle. Next add your cognac and a scoop of ice. Stir, top with more ice and garnish with mint a slice of banana and some powdered sugar.

Banana Oleo: Combine equal parts by weight banana peels and sugar (I used mixed turbinado and brown sugars) in a sealed container and let rest in a shaded area for 1-3 days. Once the sugars have pulled the moisture and flavor from the peels, add 1/2 part hot water and stir to combine. Strain out the peels and keep refrigerated. Should last a few weeks in the refrigerator.
