Classic Homemade Lasagna

2 Tbsp olive oil
1 medium chopped onion
1 clove minced garlic
1 lb ground beef
1 24oz jar marinara sauce
1 15 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tsp dried basil
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 box of lasagna noodles
15oz ricotta cheese
1 egg
1/2c grated Parmesan
8oz grated mozzarella cheese
Anweisungen
Heat olive oil in a large pot. Add onions and garlic and sauté until fragrant.
Add ground beef and brown. Add in marinara, crush tomatoes, and seasonings. Simmer for 20 minutes to combine flavors.
Meanwhile, in a medium bowl make the cheese filling by combine ricotta, egg, Parmesan, salt, and pepper.
Also boil water in a large stockpot. Cook noodles for 10-11 minutes while the meat sauce finishes cooking.
Preheat oven to 375.
Inches a 9x13 inch pan layer meat sauce, noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella cheese until ingredients are gone. Top with extra mozzarella and Parmesan.
Cover and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20 minutes.
Freezer Instructions
Make lasagna in freezer safe pans. Cover with tin foil and freeze for up to 3 month.
Thaw overnight in the refrigerator or bake from frozen for 75-90 minutes or until the center is hot.
