POPPY SEED CAKE

Zutaten

3 c. flour

2 c. sugar

1 1/2 c. vegetable oil

4 eggs

1 tsp. vanilla

1/2 tsp. salt

1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

14 oz. can evaporated milk

1 jar poppy seed filling, see note

1 c. chopped nuts (optional)

Anweisungen

Sift dry ingredients, add liquids and mix until smooth, then add 1 jar of poppy seed filling.

Beat well on medium speed for 2 min. Use a 10-inch angel food tube pan. Do not grease the pan.

Bake at 350° for 1 hr. 10 min. or until tested done.

Cool cake before removing from pan.

Notizen

Poppy seed filling can be substituted with nut, prune, or date filling.
