Here’s one we served at the Launch Event a couple days ago. Deceptively simple spiced margarita riff. The splash of red wine lends a touch of juicy, tannic bitterness (think: red apple peel). I’m also a slut for a pretty float :)

Blood Brother

60 ml blanco tequila

30 ml cinnamon syrup (1:1)

20 ml lime juice

2 dashes orange bitters

15 ml dry red wine (float)

whip shake/dump/collins/pebble ice/float/straw

Cinnamon syrup: boil 2 cinnamon sticks in 500 ml water for 30 minutes, adding more liquid as necessary. Strain and weigh resultant liquid. Add an equal weight of sugar while still hot. Stir until completely dissolved. Store cold for up to 3 week.
