Gingerbread Cookies

Zutaten

1 cup shortening

1 cup sugar

1 cup molasses

2 eggs

4 cups flour

1 tsp soda

2 tsp baking powder

2 tsp ginger

2 tsp cloves

2 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp salt

Anweisungen

1. Combine shortening, sugar, molasses, and eggs.

2. Mix together the remaining ingredients and add to the first mixture.

3. Roll out to about 1/4 inch thick. Cut with cookie cutters.

4. Bake at 350°F for about 10 minutes.

For Vanilla Butter Frosting:

1/3 cup soft butter or margarine

3 cups powdered sugar

1 1/2 tsp vanilla

About 2 tbsp milk

Blend all ingredients until smooth.
