Honey Orange Broiled Salmon

2 8oz Salmon Filets

Zest of 1 Medium Navel Orange

Juice of 1 Medium Navel Orange (can pulp the insides for thicker consistency)

1 tablespoon Soy Sauce

2 tablespoons Honey

2 Cloves of Garlic, minced

1/4 cup Salt (for brining with 4 cups water)

Anweisungen

Add the 1/4 cup of salt and 4 cups of cold water to a bowl or dish (mix until dissolved) and then place the salmon such that it will be completely submerged. Place in refrigerator and let it brine for 30 minutes.

Add remaining ingredients to a bowl and mix thoroughly for sauce.

Remove brining salmon from refrigerator, rinse with cool water and dry completely with paper towels.

Set oven broiler on high.

Using a baking sheet or other oven safe dish, line with aluminun foil and a touch of olive oil or pam to the foil. Place the dried Salmon on the foil, skin side down and broil for 6-7 minutes.

Remove the salmon briefly, should have very light spots of crust & caramelized color. Cover the salmon in the sauce and return to broiler for 3-4 minutes or until salmon is cooked through. Remove from broiler and serve.
