Sticky Toffee Pudding

1 oz dates
3/4 boiling water
3/4 tsp baking powder
3 oz room temp butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 c packed brown sugar
2 tsp coffee essence (1 tsp instant, 2 tsp hot water)
2 beaten eggs
3/4 tsp baking soda
3/4 c flour
Sauce:
4 oz butter
6 oz brown sugar
6 oz cream
optional - chopped pecans
Anweisungen
Pour boiling water over dates. Add vanilla, coffee essence & soda. Put aside.
Beat butter & sugar together until mixture is pale. Add beaten eggs, beat well.
Fold in flour & date mixture (sloppy).
Bake 25 minutes at 350.
